Terms and Conditions of Entry

Entry

The entry fee is £25 (entry on the day is £30).  After entering and payment has been received, you will receive your entry confirmation and your entry number. In early May, you will receive the final details for the day.  Registration on the day is at Baslow Village Hall and not at the start line.

Cancellations

Due to the increasing challenge created to process refunds, they will only be possible until 30th April. All monies made are for the sole purpose of Baslow Choir, who are a registered charity, (with a donation to RAYNET who provide communications throughout the day).  The event is organised by members of the choir, check points staffed by the choir and your lovely pie cooked by (you’ve guessed it!).

Place Transfers

The number of requests asking to transfer their place has increased rapidly in the last few years.  This creates significant challenges in administering, identifying and tracking participants.  After 30th April name transfers will not be possible.  If you wish to transfer your place before this deadline please let us know.  Anyone found to have swapped places with another person will be banned from entering in future years.  Your understanding is appreciated.

Route length

When the final details are emailed out, they will include both routes.  This will enable you to plan the day for your selected route.  However, an injury for example, might lead to requesting a route change.  This will always be possible, but please let us know ASAP.

Emergency Contact

Our emergency contact numbers will be on the card issued to you on the day.  You must provide a mobile phone number on your entry which you will be using on the day to enable us to  contact you on the day and so that you can contact us to retire..

Retirements

Participants wishing to retire must endeavour to retire at a checkpoint, where transport to the finish will be provided.  Please be understanding if there is a wait whilst we get a car to pick you up.  If you retire and make your own way back, you must contact us using the numbers on the control cards issued on the day.

Country Code
All participants must respect farm property and honour the Country Code. Footpaths must be used at all times and short cuts across farmland or other private property is forbidden.   The busy A6 trunk road runs through the centre of the route and must be crossed at the crossing points.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed as long as they are kept strictly under control on a lead.
